- Breast Reconstruction
Case #5
This is a 29-year-old female who is being seen for a chief complaint of Bilateral Fibroadenomas. Fibroadenomas are among the most common non-cancerous (benign) breast lumps in young women. Breast Reconstruction with 1-Stage Immediate Implant was counseled, this involves placement of a breast implant device to immediately recreate a breast mound shape after the removal of the breast (i.e., mastectomy defect). The implant is generally placed under the pectoralis major muscle.
