If you have age spots and would like to improve their appearance, our dermatology specialists at Regency would be more than happy to assist you. Addressing age spots is one of our areas of expertise, and we offer a variety of skin treatments to help.
What are brown/age spots?
As time passes, we can see the aging process in our skin and the effects of the sun. This can show up as brown, red, and white spots of discoloration and growths, skin thinning, and pre-cancerous and cancerous areas. Some people call them “liver spots”, but the technical name is solar lentigines. Spots of discoloration can vary in size, and will most likely appear on areas most exposed to the sun (the face, hands, shoulders, and arms). Age spots are very common in adults older than 50, but they can show up on younger people as well.
Treatment for skin damage of all kinds
In addition to brown spots, there are also numerous other skin signs of aging and damage. Our dermatology specialists at Regency are happy to work with you to reverse these signs.
We offer several non-surgical options for sun spots and other signs of aging, including chemical peels, topical retinoids, oral supplements, and medical-grade cosmetic products. These are just some of the options we offer to our patients to combat visible signs of sun damage to reveal more beautiful, rejuvenated skin.
