Breast lift surgical details
A breast lift in Phoenix is performed under general anesthesia and takes 2 to 3 hours, unless it is being combined with another procedure. The type of incision you’ll have will be pre-determined during your consultation with us. The most common types of incisions include:
Anchor incision
This incision starts at the base of the breast in the crease and reaches upward around the areola, creating an anchor shape. The anchor incision is most commonly used for severe drooping.
Lollipop incision
With a lollipop incision, two cuts are made. The first is made from the bottom of the areola to the crease below the breast. The second incision is done around the areola.
Crescent incision
One small incision is made, running halfway across the top of the areola.
Donut incision
The incision is made in a circle around the areola. A piece of skin around the areola is then removed, and the surrounding skin is re-attached to create a lifted look with minimal scarring.
Once the incisions have been made, your surgeon will remove the stretched-out excess breast skin. The breast tissue will then be lifted and re-shaped. Next, the skin is tightened, and the incisions are closed with sutures.
